Milan

I came into the trip expecting to like Florence better but I was mistaken. Milan captured my heart, and I loved the authentic city vibe I got from there. I had the best food here, including a really good bolognese pizza and various pasta dishes. Marina and I started our evenings late every day and had to take a nap at least once a day, but my favorite thing that we did in Milan had to be our visit to the twinset store. It was really interesting to learn about their layout strategy and enjoy their wonderful customer service. I also enjoyed each and every dinner I had as we had the best food and even better service.

Florence

I had such a great time in Florence but was really taken aback by the mass of tourists there. Everyday, we would have to walk through massive crowds of Americans to get around which was drastically different from Milan. People generally spoke English in both places, but I felt like I heard more English than Italian in Florence. In Florence, I had such an enriching experience at the TJX visit. I had never considered a career in buying but after that presentation that is one of my top 2 contenders for future paths. It was great to hear from them and to be able to ask them questions. Additionally, I bonded more with everyone on the trip in Florence as we made more of an effort to spend time together. There were several people I had never seen before having this class with them and ended up getting to be friends with them by the end. I loved spending the nights with the big group, going to dinners together, and making plans for the night together.
